My Personal Baldrige

What do you do if you want to “do” Baldrige but your organization doesn’t? You recognize the value, you’re tired of the same old same old, and you know your organization won’t give Baldrige a second look. Can you do your own, personal Baldrige?

Yes, you can—and here’s why you should: You’ll enjoy your job more and you’ll do it better. Now, if you’re one of those folks who works to get a paycheck and wants to be left alone, read no more. You can’t personalize Baldrige without a little learning and effort. But if your job is a joyless affair and you want to do something about it, Baldrige is your ticket out of the doldrums. And if you want to do your job better, Baldrige can help.

The Baldrige model provides a systems perspective of how an organization should operate. It also provides a systems perspective for how everyone and everything in that system should operate. It is not designed to prescribe an individual’s role, so we’re taking some liberties in doing so. We welcome your feedback on whether you think we’re on track.
