Where to Get Help

If you apply for a Baldrige or state award or conduct an internal assessment, you will need one or more people with the following competencies:

• Knowledge of the Baldrige Criteria, including how to interpret the questions and seek answers
• Research capabilities, including how to identify the information needed to respond to the Criteria
• Organization skills, including how to assemble information and data according to the seven Baldrige Categories
• Writing skills, including how to write responses that answer all questions as completely and accurately as possible

Organizations secure these competencies in one of three ways. Click on each to see its costs and benefits.

1. They hire an external Baldrige expert to produce the assessment.
2. They train an internal team to produce the assessment.
3. They involve an external Baldrige expert with the internal team.
