The Baldrige.com domain name is made possible by a generous gift to the Baldrige Foundation by Joseph A. DeFeo, CEO Juran Global.
Our goal for Baldrige.com is to build an online community for sharing information and promoting the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence framework.
The Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award was created to provide the private sector a means of accomplishing the following Baldrige Award objectives: raise sufficient funds to establish an endowment which, when supplemented by fees from Baldrige Award applicants, would permanently fund the program; oversee the investment of endowment funds; review program accomplishments; disburse required fund to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); and review the plan and approve associated funds requirements for subsequent years to ensure a successful Baldrige Program. The Foundation has no oversight of the Baldrige Program and no involvement in the award process.
Leaders of prominent organizations have been selected to serve as Board Directors to ensure that the Foundation’s objectives are accomplished. In addition, a broad cross section of organizations from throughout the United States provides financial support to the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program through the Foundation.
