The Baldrige Application

Organizations submit applications to qualify for the Baldrige Award and most state quality awards. A Baldrige application must be no longer than 50 pages plus five pages for the Organizational Profile and must comply with all application report requirements. State quality award requirements and deadlines vary.

The Baldrige application deadline is typically late in May. Independent examiner reviews take place from June to August. The Panel of Judges then determines which applicants will advance to the next stage, Consensus Review, which occurs in August and September. Finalists for the Award receive site vists in October and November, with the Award recipients usually announced in late November. Feedback reports are sent out from September to December.
